ooooooo... just watched HnG season 2 episode 0.

the colouring is quite different from first season. I suppose this time round they matched the colouring in the manga more closely. nishizawa no longer has black futsuu hair, it's purple now and izumi's hair went bright purple. and I don't remember Hayate sporting an ahoge in season 1.

and I heard Horie!!! yayayayay. I had first thought it was just a cameo appearance.

She reminds me of Siesta from ZnT, hence my initial suspicion that it might just be a cameo reference. but...

ソニア シャフルナーズ's the line you should be looking at.

and it never occurred to me until just that Kugimiya and Tanaka have the same first name in kanji.

although a fan service episode, as with most OVAs, it was funny (and tsundere) enough for me to last till the end.

my favourite is still Nishizawa though. the 超普通 (as Nagi would put it) girl is still lovesick over hayate in the OVA. i love random tsundere moments. die lar, kena poison too deep liao.

fking busy these few days.

kenna a project that starts in sungei gedong. waste bloody 4 hours everyday to travel to and fro from that ghost town.

and I'm using my company's laptop to blog. yay. I feel more in touch with networking now cos I do actual configurations and console of switches, and sometimes extracting the configuration from routers.

everyday come back, eat, organize documents, check email, shoot some arrows, it's almost time to sleep. today finally tuanged and came back slightly earlier. just finished all the maths I've given for tuition so as to better teach tmr.

can someone play company of heroes with me? really, I'll buy you the game if you play with me. it's only 20 bux for unlimited entertainment. less than 3 movies.

i blog less and less cos there isn't really anything to say these few days other than work. I've only watched toradora these few weeks. haiz...

HOLY CRAP. just watched toradora 21. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I need to go scream. and it's 2.15am. go watch it if you haven't. actually i didn't watch the whole thing. jumped around and saw interesting parts. the series is really coming to a conclusion.

I'm reading Benjamin Graham's The Intelligent Investor and it has really got my brain to spin.

It's a really interesting book. my head spins but I'll go back and read it over and over till it stops. I recommend this book to all.

It is very technical and very conservative, which is so me. I've read a book purely on the stock market from a friend, can't remember the name. and then I've read Rich Dad, Poor Dad... quite a... rubbish book I would say. sorry about the lack of a better term. It's a good book for my mother or father but it's an interesting, relaxing read.

I would class The Intelligent Investor in between the two. It is technical but yet has many thought-provoking opinions and fresh perspectives. it has some humour too.

I quote a quote.

"Americans are getting stronger. Twenty years ago, it took two people to carry ten dollars' worth of groceries. Today, a five-year-old can do it" - Henny Youngman

note that this book was written in 1970s. So 10 dollars in 1950s should be rather valuable. anyway, Laugh!

bad start to the morning. woke up with a cramp in my right calf. long time since I've kena such morning cramps. machiam pms haha.

couldn't walk for half an hour. couldn't even straighten the leg without feeling pain.

cable nightmare today. happily did my normal routine until I spotted about 20 cables lying on the switch. msged the dsta person and she said must remove. so I start.

then I saw one whole bunch of them behind the switch. holy cow. I tried counting, I lost count. more than 60.

and those fking cables kena cable tie up down left right all over the place, most in up-ur-ass-turn-left kind of places. do until my forearms full of cable tie cuts and black dirt. excruciating...

only managed to draw out about 40 of them today... finishing up the rest of the saikang tmr, hopefully.

bah.

I think I've finally understood the ep 16 ending! XD

So... Kushieda likes Takasu right from the start, but distances herself from him as he was always with Aisaka. Since Aisaka is her best friend, she doesn't want to be a rival for Takasu. During the fight, Kushieda realized that there was no "conflict of interest" in the first place as Aisaka in that fight and her notebook at the end show that the one she really like is Kitamura. Kushieda probably "no longer feels guilty" when she learns of this.

maybe I'm wrong. bah... I need ep 21.

I can't believe I'm still dwelling in this hahahahaha...

learn something new everyday.

today got switch replacement. so I happily configured the switch, discmounted the old one, screw on the new one, patched up the cables and... no uplink?

crap, panic liao. reload switch, reconfigure, change port, trace fibre...

then someone came over and started checking the modules.

then i realized what I've missed. the switch was using 1000base-sx and the remote end was using 1000base-lx. swapped out the module at the remote end.

first problem of the day was the existing fibre had the wrong head. it was SC instead of LC. so had to lay a new fibre myself :(

then now this. even with the module swapped out still cannot.

was told that the fibres could be inserted the other way round, meaning RX and TX swap positions. doubted that at the start. in the end, that was the problem -_-"

really mahlu-ed. bohbian, still noobbird. at least the configuration was easy, cisco configuration migration is easyeasy.

looking forward to the next switch replacement haha. better than staring at cable connections and tracing cables.

i found the love for CoH again. how do I make everyone play this great game?

1. Appears geeky like the other real network engineers.
2. Wears thick black plastic rim glasses.
3. Carries on his back a huge obiang bag with cables, fibres, adapters, label machine, screwdrivers, cable ties...
4. Appears satisfied talking to switches and routers in the server all day, alone.
5. Really talks to switches and routers when he thinks no one is looking.
6. Is overjoyed every time the phone rings and hears a human voice on the line.
7. Carries a cisco catalyst 2950 switch home on bus 87.
8. and has a smile on his face
9. like he's clutching on to a gold bar
10. or something.
11. actually it is, it's at least a thousand dollars.
12. works on saturday night (like tomorrow)
13. to replace some stupid switch in some gahment place.
14. thinks that the whole world owes him overtime pay.
15. is most likely not going to return the catalyst switch until someone bugs him. else he'll live happily ever after.

hectic weekend planned ahead. did some preparations tonight.

Was at Kranji camp in the morning. my job there was to wait for keys for 2hours... and still not have the keys. in the end only opened up 1 rack and patched 1 fibre.

went back bedok scs. helped out with the documents... didn't expect to come back so didn't handover anything.

then off to ubi office to abduct the cisco catalyst. i was offered two options, either I bring the company laptop home or bring a switch home. I chose the switch hahahaha. at least can play around and learn something and configure my brother's laptop for consoling. now that's done and it was pretty interesting...

also prepared for tomorrow's tuition. dug out my sec3 notes and was surprised they were still in pretty good condition.

going to play something soon, either company of heroes or team fortress :/

tomorrow got tuition at 2-4pm and switch installation at 6pm...

sunday got bball in morning, badminton got cancelled and some 113 gathering in the evening.

haiz... finally fixed my mountainbike (myself) but no time to ride. how?

last few days work at science park. chanced on a cisco press book, bsmsn. read a few chapters, looks easy. itchy again liao.

just watched an OP of an old kugimiya anime, Rizelmine. she sang the OP. holy crap... lollicon anime with kugimiya... iMelt. here I comeeeeeee~~~
