I worked my ass off until 6.40pm. The damn bus only came at 7.05pm and I stood all the way on the can of sardine and reached home at 8pm. Ate dinner and sat in front of the computer until now.
while most people disappeared from work at around 12.30pm, I was dragged along for a journey in the east. Tampines golden village, changi mrt depot, tanah merah mrt, ping pong among them and finally ubi office. Today's stay at ubi office was much useful than my two other times. I cloned 2 PCs using norton ghost. I'm quite impressed with myself actually for being able to do everything with little supervision and without cocking-up. I've only been introduced to norton ghost in signal institute and never got to experiment with it until today. Cloning computers are amazing. The next time my computer needs a reformat, I'm going to create a clean image of my harddrive for future clean formats.
actually wanted to do an afternoon round island today, thinking that I should knock of from work at 12.30pm. Well, it was a nice thought to start the new year with a round island. But I'm too tired now to attempt one tomorrow. maybe the weekend. :(
oh ya... and I've joined Geek U. let's just say that one of my new year resolution is to constant upgrade and improve myself until university starts and takes over my life.
talking about resolutions... I did not have much thought about it as compared to... 2007? I'm pretty sure back then I was quite fired up from my new-found resolve. I'll just continue to do what I always do and sustain my activities and don't burn out.
So basically I'm revising and learning Japanese and also learning to become a helpful Geek. yay. I've always wanted to learn boating. can't get anyone enthusiastic enough to drag me along cos I'm too lazy to initiate anything bleh :( when 21 comes, it's class 4 time! hopefully get it before uni starts yay.
so that's the few things I'll like to accomplish in the time I have until matriculation.

P.S. it doesn't really feel like a new year does it? When we were in school, tomorrow meant the last day of the vacation and the start of another term of school. Now it seemed like just another public holiday...

I have been chionging school rumble until a bit blur liao. need to organize my to-watch list.
1. Hayate no Gotoku
This will remain here for quite some time since I don't want to chiong through this beautiful anime. The drawings are just so... appealing that it would be a waste to not slow down and enjoy the scenery.
2. School Rumble OVAs
2 after the first term and 2 for the 3rd term. Maybe I'll go watch one after I click the "done" button...
3. Ouran High Host Club
I've watched the first episode before I chionged School Rumble and I'm quite curious as to what happens to the girl-crossdressed-guy.
4. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu
Noto Mamiko is voicing the female lead. She's the seiyu for Tsukamoto Yakumo in School Rumble and I'm interested in her performance in this series. Watched random scenes and seems like Nogizaka is not as subtle and reserved as Tsukamoto. That will perhaps take some of the shine away but still, I'm compelled somehow to watch it.
5. Kannagi
Nothing much to say about this cos I haven't really watched anything. But Nagi sure looks cute though...
6. Shakugan no Shana Season 2
Yes... I've yet to watch this although I'v been saying I would. I have a feeling I will procrastinate this series even more...

Story sounds interesting and AnimeYoshi is subbing it. So why not give it a try? I don't know what to watch for Winter 2008 anyway. Something about a guy turning into a girl after drinking some melon soda or something...
The sad thing is after such a heavy dose of Kugimiya Rie, suddenly she's almost totally absent for Winter 2008 except some minor role in Hetalia Axis Power which I have no idea what kind of anime that is. She's going to be Alphonse Elric again in the upcoming new Fullmetal Alchemist series. But I don't follow the series T_T

ok, I have a confession to make. I am a 16 year old Japanese girl trapped in a 20-turning-21 year old male. This is probably the reason why I don't like Akaneiro ni Somaru Saka as it progresses towards the end. Loved it at the start for the tsundere moments between Katagiri and Nagase. But now it has become what... incest??? I would rather it be the cliche happy couple ending between Katagiri and Nagase. bleh.
and back to School Rumble. Tenma is really too dumb. I hope Harima ends up with Tsukamoto Yakumo. can't wait to watch the Third Term concluding OVAs.

But at least I was spot on about Kushieda haha. the subs made it much easier to catch what they're saying in jap this time round because I can have a rough idea what the context is about. so Kushieda apologised at the end, saying that she was perhaps jealous of Takasu, then that line popped out hahaha.

one hell of a weekend.
received my first paycheck this week too. my first pay earned as a civilian. sadly... but that's the case.
went to swim on saturday noontime hoping to do some photosynthesis. decided to finally drag my lazy self to the sengkang swimming complex at anchorvale to try it out. quite disappointed actually. Initially, I marveled at the new facilities (toilet, electronic lockers, indoor pool, water playground, slides...) so much so that I locked my goggles together with my other stuff. wasted another 40c to take them out :/
Entrance is expensive :( $2 on weekend... hougang one i think $1.20. And all I need is the full-size swimming pool and not the play stuff. I need to photosynthesise so the indoor pool is a no-no. so I'm actually paying almost double for nothing. And there are only the big lockers... the 40c ones, have to pay double for lockers too :/ Guess I won't go back to sengkang to swim for some time.
The water is bloody cold. It is unusually cold because even the outdoor pool has shelters on both ends covering about 10% of the pool on both sides. hence when you reach the shaded parts, the water feels (and it is) colder. so I suppose the colder water mixes together with the "sunned" portion and just makes it damn cold anyway.
and for the past 2 swim sessions, I had been quite suay. Bright and sunny when I reach there... cloudy/gloomy/on-the-verge-of-raining when I'm halfway through my swim. sianz...
then evening went to meet up with Signal Spec coursemates... actually only 6 of them hahaha. quite an epic fail I felt. supposed to be bunk 2 and bunk 4... end up only 7 turned up. but it was fun, tried a new pub just outside the tunnel at smu. I think it's timbre, great pizzas... but lousy furniture haha.
after that, went to meet up with 2 bros from long ago. in our typical void-deck-ah-pek-to-be fashion, we went to s11 and sat there and talkcocksingsong until 2+am after a short session of pool. that day was one of the latest I ever reached home and slept. reached home close to 4... slept at 4.30am. along the way home I even tio a police checkpoint at hougang ave 7. nothing much happened... just stopped me and after a glance of my sober face, the policeman flagged me off.
and woke up at 8am. To go play basketball at peiyi's... seeeeehhhhhh.
then in the afternoon, badminton at RI. I was quite energetic after bball in spite of the lack of sleep last night. badminton session kinda screwed up cos we were chased away after we played an hour. ORA and RI admin somehow didn't share their information. well... the other grp was a training session so we gave up out court after an hour.
then went to some HDB court to play. epic phailure. I managed to play badminton with myself. just whack normally and the wind blows it back.
then now I'm here. finished call of duty 5 yesterday but going through it again on the hardest difficulty, muahaha.
probably watch some anime, decipher some text, and prepare for tomorrow's... work.
the weekend passes too fast... the only consolation is that christmas is coming up yay.

finally, we've reached a point where one can distinguish between an eroge-turned-anime and a more proper light-novel-turned-anime.
akaneiro ni somaru saka is losing its novelty and flavour already. episode 11 was so cheesy that my skin cringes when the two of the girls cried when minato confessed that she likes her brother (?!?!?) as in romantic kind of like. bah... total turn off. reminds me of Kaede from shuffle who went psycho when the guy, Rin, I think, chose another girl over her when she had been living with him since 5 or something.
so typical of harem animes... there has to be someone that has been living with the lucky bastard for the whole of his life and he still chooses another girl. but this time, it's his own bloody sister, incest bleh.
ok back to Toradora. Episode 12 isn't resolving issues dammit. as expected, it's really leading to the cliffhanger that i've been anticipating. Spoiler alert, don't read beyond this point if you've yet to watch Toradora 12.
Mr Aisaka appeared to take Loli Aisaka back home. Loli Aisaka kicked Mr Aisaka in the nuts, literally, and Takasu was pissed off and scolded Aisaka. Some people see this as overreaction but I can understand where Takasu is coming from since he has lost his own father somehow (we weren't told I think) so naturally he'll want Aisaka to go back to her father. Kushieda learns of this and is pissed off that Aisaka is returning to her father. She reveals that she was the one that told Aisaka not to trust her father and leave. Conflict of ideas, Takasu VS Kushieda quarrel. this is the exciting part. Does Kushieda know something of Papa Aisaka that Takasu doesn't? Kushieda has always been the thoughtful and streetsmart-acting-blur sort so I don't doubt her judgment. Indeed, Papa Aisaka didn't turn up for Loli Aisaka's performance... Takasu may not know everything about Aisaka's father, so he shouldn't make the decision for her... his own experiences are clouding his own judgement me thinks... :/
And this is the episode that I start to appreciate Kawashima's personality. or perhaps she changed for the better. She becomes the intelligent observer of this intriguing love square. I wonder what she meant when she said she'll walk the same path as Takasu, only slightly in front.

That's the thing I like abt Toradora. It has some analogies and indirect expressions that makes it not so shallow but just enough so it doesn't become too deep and philosophical (metal gear 2).

I've decided to really really ration myself on Hayate no Gotoku and not chiong through it. it's good after a hard day's work to laugh at something nonsensical.
hence i've started School Rumble hahaha. wathced one episode of Gakuen Alice too. Anyway, Tenma reminds me of Nishizawa from HnG with her two "controllable" bunches of hair sticking out from the sides. haha, come to think of it, the 2 only ways to distinguish any anime characters are their hair and eyes.
It took me a while before I understood the following picture.
小林とうふ店 was written on the car. I cheated anyway for the japanese words. Xiao ling was written in chinese cos i don't know how's its pronounced in jap haha. anyway... This is the only thing I like about my job. To some extent, I get to decide when I start and end work and how long my lunch break is.
Usually if I'm working alone, my lunch is 20mins and I pack up at 4.30pm. :)
Have I mentioned this before? I think I did but I shall say it again. If I do happen to be the supervisor of some group of office workers, people shall not work overtime muahahaha. If you have to work overtime, it better be a valid reason else you're just an inefficient worker hah.

I'm pleasantly surprised that the anime's narration at the start was almost exactly from the first page of the light novel. Aisaka shuffled the order of her line... but basically the same thing.

Hayate ep 18 was funny like hell. I can't believe HnG is so bloody blatant with their fan service. They literally tell you "we are going to show you a fan service shot and here it is". Throughout the episode they were flashing Hinagiku shots although she has no relevance to the story at all hahaha. Even Nagi broke the 4th wall and said she thought she saw some "unrelated screenshots" lol.
